Sign up Here to become a member of the PTA! The PTA helps support educational programs, coordinates parent volunteers, and organizes fundraising events to benefit the entire school. It’s a great way to stay in-the-know about news & events happening around school, to share your ideas and to strengthen our school community.

Your annual membership dues of $15 cover our school’s national PTA dues, insurance for school events, 501(c)3 designation (which is necessary for receiving grants and donations), and other school events and initiatives.

We want the PTA to be an opportunity for everyone. If financial dues are a hardship, please select the ‘scholarship membership’ option when signing up.

CHAPMAN FALL FUNDRAISER UPDATE

We are now halfway through our Fall Fundraiser, and we are still in need of donations to Make It Happen.  Now is the time to show your support for Chapman and make a donation – and remember, every penny counts.  Do you need a holiday gift idea for your student, or does another family member need a gift idea for your student?  What about giving them the gift of a donation to their school?

Why are we doing this fundraiser?

Our Fall Fundraiser has a goal of raising enough funds to pay for two part time Educational Assistants for the 2023/2024 school year.  In the previous years, the Chapman Foundation has been able to fund EA positions.  Currently, for the 2022/2023 school year, we have been able to fund 2 part time Educational Assistants.  They are invaluable to our school, and therefore, this is one of the most important fundraising efforts that we have each year.  When we asked Principle Van Der Wolf about the current EA’s, here is what she said:

“Our amazing EAs bring a wealth of expertise, compassion, and joy to our Chapman community. They help us out by providing critical small group instruction, keeping our students under their watchful eyes during recess, and supporting teachers in their classrooms. The Chapman EAs are rock stars and I am so thankful for them every day!”

Make your donation here: https://friendsofchapman.org/2022/11/11/2022-chapman-fall-fundraiser/

And remember, in a special effort to encourage all of you to spread the word to friends and family that we are raising important funds for our school, we are offering a very fun promotion. The first 10 families who share our campaign link with 5 people through email, social, or text message will receive their choice of a lovely Chapman sweatshirt or Swifts tote bag!!!!! Just send confirmation that you have done this to the contacts below.

CHILI COOK-OFF AND BAKE-OFF COMPETITIONS!

WHO:

Anyone from our school community can compete. You can join the competition solo, or form a small team. Parents, teachers & staff, and all kids are welcome to be a part of this fun competition.

WHAT:

Do you have a secret family recipe, or are you particularly creative in the kitchen? We want to know, actually taste, what you can make. Any variation of chili or homemade dessert is welcome! Each entry should include at least 15 small servings, but more is welcome.

WHERE:

The Bake-off and Chili Cook-off competitions will take place in the cafeteria of Chapman Elementary School during our Chapman Winter Festival.

WHEN:

February 11th, 2023 (Winners chosen by a panel of judges at 5:30 pm)

WHY:

We are raising money to make sure that our school has EA’s for next year. It is essential for Friends of Chapman to raise these funds for the success of our kids! Let’s make some money for our school, and have a blast doing it. There will also be some fun prizes for our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.

HOW:

Sign-ups for both competitions will be available starting January 6th on the Friends of Chapman Website. There will be a $35 fee for each entry to help raise funds for our school. Full details will be available in January.
