A NOTE FROM VICE PRINCIPAL CORONA

Happy Friday Swifts!

It truly has been a week of fun and talent at Chapman!

First of all, thank you Ms. Rosoff for organizing and leading the way for last night’s Winter Family Literacy Night. Many families came to see the educational and funny show with Nikki Brown Clown. There were fun reading activities for everyone to enjoy and take home a book or two. Thanks as well to all the people who volunteered their time and energy to its success.

The Showtime preview was really fun to watch. Thanks to our very own Mr. Clark for leading such wonderful performances! The time he spends with them during music and other hours of the day as they prepare their combined efforts is admirable. Mr. Clark instills care and dedication to the art in every student. It shows in their smiles and in parents’ engagement. Can’t wait for Showtime in the spring!

I was thinking recently how much this feels like spring already even if it is not. It feels like spring because everyone is ready to spread their learning wings after a few interruptions. I have had some time to visit classrooms and notice students focused on multiplication lessons, learning about the water cycle in science or practicing their reading skills in whole group Fundations lessons. Everyone is eager to learn!

This is a great time to pick up the learning rhythm and continue to enjoy our time together at Chapman.

Have a fun weekend!

STRIDER EDUCATION FOUNDATION

Chapman Elementary School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Bike Program. It's an amazing way for all kids to learn skills they can build upon and never forget - just like riding a bike!

Help us reach our fundraising goal in order to obtain 24 Strider AKB-Specific bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits and one Strider 20-inch bike for Mr. Studt to use during class.

DONATE HERE!

MISSING SOMETHING?

Lost & Found racks will be available before and after school near the turf on Tues., March 19 and Wed., March 20. Rainy day location will be under the covered area! Lost & Found racks are located inside the school, across from the auditorium and are accessible during school hours.

COSTUMES NEED TO BE AT SCHOOL ASAP!

Costume donations: Do you have old costumes laying around the house? Please think about donating them to the school. We've drained the Chapman costume reserves for this performance, and still need a few pieces to complete the show.

Volunteers are needed to make this show go smoothly, click the link below for a list of open jobs. We need a dedicated team of parents who can rehearse speaking parts with students, specific times are listed at the link below.
