Last night our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders indulged their biggest fans with a spectacular performance! Thank you to Mr. Clark, all of their teachers and the parent volunteers who worked so hard to help put “It’s Showtime” on the Chapman stage. The sets, the costumes, the choreography, the corny jokes, and of course, the singing, were all stellar.
March is Women’s History Month. As we honor mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, and all women in our lives at school and home, please check out this website (linked).
The following link helps with “Breaking Down the Annual Budget Process”. The district budget influences individual school staffing. While we are remaining fairly stable, we have had some cuts due to the district budget cuts. Next year, we will only have our full-time counseling position, however we are gaining a full-time Social Worker provided by an outside grant. We are losing our assistant principal position, but gaining a School Climate Specialist who will be taking on the school discipline facets of that role. Our music, art, & library teachers will be .6, however PE will still be a full-time position. Our learning specialist position has been cut, and we will be gaining a .5 SPED teacher in addition to our full-time position.
Our first Kindergarten Connect event is happening next week. If you have an incoming kindergartner for the 24-25 school year, please join us! If you know anyone else who might be interested, please share the information with them. Kindergarten Connect will be on Thursday, 3/14 at 4:00. We will be sharing information about our kindergarten program, as well as how to enroll. We will also be answering all the questions and taking a tour of the building.
Remember, clocks spring forward Sunday (03/10)!
